Agri-Expo (Se)

Agri-Expo (se) has become one of, it not the largest “farmer owned” agricultural business shows in The UK. Once again we will be welcoming more new exhibitors to the fastest growing land-based Industry Show in The South East. Agri-Expo showcases the very best machinery, supplies and services available to farmers, land-owners, amenity and landscape specialists at the prestigious Kent Showground located just off the M20 / M2 in Kent. Agri-Expo is set to break previous record numbers of exhibitors who have joined the show to take advantage if its growth and recognition as one of the “must attend” business shows in the agricultural event diary.

As well as giving exhibitors an opportunity to promote their businesses, Agri-Expo (SE) is keen to promote education, training, business development, diversification opportunities and collaborative projects. The organisers work continually to support education and training as well as highlighting other industry developments and announcements as and when they arise. We very much hope that Agri-Expo gives our visitors the opportunity to meet old and new friends as well as the suppliers of machinery, inputs, advice and support to help farming enterprises in the years of change ahead.

With this in mind, our seminars this year will focus on post-BREXIT farming, with a Breakfast Meeting on grain marketing at 8.30am hosted by Fen Grain and our Headline Seminar at Midday which brings together a wealth of expertise to guide you through the recent announcement made by Mr Michael Gove on his plans for a new greener subsidy recipient plan for the future. Both Seminars will be held in the Astor Pavilion and are free to attend.

South East Farmer Magazine will once again be sponsoring the Trade Stand Prizes awarded on the day to a variety of categories. This then leads on to The Farmers Ball and Prestigious Farming Awards held annually at the end of the year hosted by Pitchfork Events, part of The RAMSAK Group, this year on December 1st, so book your table early on their Stand.

On behalf of the whole team involved in Agri-Expo we wish all our visitors an enjoyable and informative day, Pease remember this is your show, so if there is something you would like to see, then do come and speak to the organisers on The RAMSAK Group Stand in the Maidstone Exhibition Hall.

Hear from our expert panel and join our discussion at Agri Expo, 12 noon – 1pm on Wednesday 7 March 2018 at the Kent County Showground, Detling, from 8.30am to 5pm with free entry.

We are delighted to once again host a headline panel discussion which have proved very popular with our Agri Expo audience. We aim to keep the discussions short, informative and provide access to a range of professional advisors to enable farmers to ask key questions. The discussions can be lively and we hope to encourage as many attending as possible to stop by for a coffee and to hear the latest thoughts on this prominent issue. This year we are covering a really hot topic, especially following Michael Gove’s announcement earlier this month on future farm subsidies and a move towards payments for ‘greener’ farming. We hope this session will provide information which will inform and shape farming practices here in the South East for the future.

Hosted by Ramsak, our guest speakers will be discussing issues around soil and land management, the latest scientific thinking, green subsidies of the future and our panel of experts - John Drew AMC, Thomas Wilson BTF Partnership, Blair Gulland Gullands Solicitors and Sarah Attwood Kreston Reeves will be on hand to answer financial, legal and tax questions about moving to a more green farming regime. Further speakers are to be announced as we near the Show.

We have found with all of the discussions (this is the fourth one we have run) that there is no shortage of questions and most of these will be addressed to specific panel members.

So join us for some lively debate!

Following its conclusion, attendees will be invited to go along to the BTF stand for some lunch and a beer to carry on the discussion there.
